Terms and Conditions

Last updated October 14, 2026

Catcopter is operated by Borkowski Consulting Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09958565, with its registered office at 2 Cambridge Mansions, 13 Bromells Road, Clapham, London, SW4 0BN, United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected].

These terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Borkowski Consulting Ltd covering the website at catcopter.com, the Catcopter game that runs in your browser, the game servers it connects to, and any related services (together, the "Game"). By opening the Game or pressing Play you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not play.

Catcopter is free to play. There are no accounts to create, nothing to buy and nothing to install.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must have read these terms and be happy for you to play. By playing you confirm that this is the case.

You must not play if you are barred from using services like the Game under the laws of the country you are in.

2. What Catcopter is

Catcopter is a multiplayer game. You pick a cat, give it a name and join a room of up to twenty cats on one of our game servers. Rounds last a few minutes; a new map and a fresh scoreboard follow each one. When there are not enough people in a room, computer-controlled cats fill the remaining places and play alongside you.

Nothing carries over. Catnip, levels, weapons, KOs and your place on the scoreboard belong to the round you are in. They are reset when the round ends or when you leave, and they have no value outside the Game. We do not keep a record of your results, and we may rebalance, reset or remove anything in the Game at any time.

The Game is in active development. Classes, weapons, maps, game modes, servers and the look of the Game change often, sometimes without warning, and features may be added or removed. Occasionally a round will break or a server will restart; we will do our best to keep that rare.

3. Your cat's name

You choose a display name for your cat, or let the Game pick one. The name is kept in your browser and sent to the game server when you join a room, where everyone in the room can see it. Your name must not:

  • be hateful, obscene, threatening or sexual, or mock or target any person or group;
  • impersonate another player, a member of our team, a moderator, a streamer, a company or a brand, or suggest an official role you do not have;
  • contain personal information such as a phone number, an email address, a street address or a real full name, whether yours or anyone else's;
  • contain a web address, advertising or a request to visit or buy something;
  • be used to spell out something forbidden by these terms when combined with other names, celebrations or behaviour.

We may reject, replace or block any name at our discretion and remove players who use a name that breaks these rules.

4. Fair play

Catcopter is only fun when everyone plays the same game. You agree that you will not:

  • Cheat. Use or distribute cheats, hacks, aimbots, modified clients, scripts, macros, automation or any software that plays for you, changes how the Game behaves, or gives you information or abilities other players do not have. Play only through the official Game at catcopter.com in an ordinary web browser.
  • Tamper with the connection. Alter, forge, replay or inject the messages between your browser and our servers, or use testing, debugging or developer features against our public servers.
  • Exploit bugs. Deliberately use a bug or an unintended behaviour to gain an advantage. If you find one, tell us (see section 13) instead of using it.
  • Disrupt the servers. Overload, flood or attack our servers or network, open connections you are not playing on, probe for weaknesses, scrape data, or interfere with other players' connections.
  • Spoil rounds on purpose. Sabotage your own team, help an opponent against your team, or repeatedly target one player to drive them out of the Game.
  • Harass anyone. Use your name, celebrations or any other means to bully, threaten, intimidate or demean other players. Hateful conduct is prohibited: anything that attacks or dehumanises people on the basis of religion, ethnicity, national origin, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
  • Break the law. Use the Game for anything illegal, or to infringe anyone's rights.

You may use ordinary accessibility tools and standard browser features. If you are not sure whether something counts as cheating, ask us before using it.

5. What happens if you break these terms

If we believe you have broken these terms, or that your play is harming the Game or other players, we may take any action we consider appropriate without notice, including:

  • replacing or blocking your cat's name;
  • removing you from a room or ending a round;
  • refusing connections from your network, device or browser, for any length of time or permanently;
  • reporting unlawful activity to the authorities.

Because the Game has no accounts, blocks work by connection, so a block may also affect other people sharing your network. If you think we have blocked you by mistake, write to [email protected] with the server, the date and time, and your cat's name. We cannot promise to lift a block, but we will look.

We may also investigate how the Game is being played, including by collecting technical data about connections that appear to cheat, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. The community Discord

We run a Discord server at https://discord.gg/jeVrQGUSZ6 where players meet, share clips and talk about the Game. Discord is a separate service run by Discord Inc. under its own terms and privacy policy; joining it is your choice. The server has its own rules, posted inside it, and our moderators may remove messages or members who break them. The conduct rules in section 4 apply there too.

7. Our content and your licence to play

The Game, including its software, cats, classes, weapons, maps, 3D models, artwork, sounds, music, text, names and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. "Catcopter" and the Catcopter cat are our marks.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game in your browser for your own entertainment, in line with these terms. The licence includes the copies your browser makes to run the Game. It does not allow you to:

  • copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the Game, except where the law gives you a right that cannot be excluded;
  • extract, reuse or distribute the Game's models, artwork, sounds or other assets on their own;
  • run your own public servers for the Game, or make, sell or distribute a derivative game or a clone;
  • use the Game's name, cats or artwork in a way that suggests we endorse or made something we did not;
  • use the Game to train a machine-learning model, or to build a dataset of its assets or of other players' behaviour.

We may end this licence at any time, for example if you break these terms or if we stop offering the Game.

8. Videos, streams and screenshots

We would love you to share the Game. You may record, stream, screenshot and publish your gameplay, including the Game's visuals, sounds and music, on services such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Discord, and you may earn money from that content through advertising, subscriptions, sponsorships and donations, as long as you:

  • make it clear that the content is yours, not an official publication of ours;
  • do not use the content to promote cheating, hateful conduct or anything else that breaks these terms;
  • do not sell or redistribute the Game's assets themselves, outside of your own videos and images;
  • include other players only as they appear in the Game, and remove a clip if a player reasonably asks you to.

A mention of Catcopter or a link to catcopter.com is appreciated but not required. We may withdraw this permission for content that breaks these terms, or for everyone with reasonable notice.

9. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports or other feedback, for example on Discord or by email, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them in the Game and in our other products without any obligation to you, and you agree that feedback is not confidential. We cannot pay for or credit every suggestion, though we often do.

10. Availability and changes to the Game

We work hard to keep Catcopter running, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Servers have a limited number of rooms and you may be told that a server is full. We may take servers down for maintenance, move or close servers in a region, restart rooms, change or remove features, and change these limits at any time. Outages and lost rounds can happen.

We may stop offering the Game, in whole or in part, at any time. Where we reasonably can, we will announce it on catcopter.com or on Discord first. Because the Game is free and nothing in it carries over, there is nothing to refund or return if it closes.

11. Health and safety

Flashing lights. The Game contains fast camera movement, flashing and strobing effects, bright explosions, fireworks and screen static. A small number of people may experience seizures or blackouts when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, even if they have never had one before. If you or anyone in your family has ever had a seizure, talk to a doctor before playing. Stop playing at once and seek medical advice if you feel dizzy, disoriented or nauseous, lose awareness, or notice twitching, altered vision or convulsions.

Play safely. Play in a well-lit room, take a break every hour, and do not play while driving, cycling, walking in traffic or doing anything that needs your attention. Hold your phone securely in landscape mode; the Game's touch controls are not a reason to drop it.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data the Game handles and how. The short version: there are no accounts, your cat's name and settings stay in your browser, the game servers see your connection as any website does, and we use analytics to count visits and rounds. The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.

13. Reporting problems

If you meet a cheater, an abusive name or a bug, tell us on Discord or by email at [email protected]. Include the server you were on, the game mode, the date and time, the cat names involved and what happened. Without the server and the time we usually cannot find the room.

If you believe content in the Game or on catcopter.com infringes your copyright or other rights, email us with a description of the work, where the content appears, your contact details and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We will remove content that is infringing.

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to us privately before publishing it, and give us a reasonable time to fix it. Do not access other players' data or disrupt the Game while testing.

14. Disclaimers

The Game is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about the Game beyond those stated in these terms, including that it will be available, error-free, secure, balanced, or fit for a particular purpose. Names chosen by other players and content on Discord are their responsibility, not ours.

Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights of consumers, including the right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to digital content and services supplied with reasonable care and skill.

15. Limitation of liability

What we never exclude. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

Otherwise. We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, for loss caused by your own breach of these terms, or for any business loss: the Game is for personal entertainment only. If free digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content and we have not used reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Game changes. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Because the Game has no accounts, we cannot email you about changes; if a change is material we will show a notice on catcopter.com or in the Game before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or needed for security, in which case it may take effect sooner. Continuing to play after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not agree, stop playing.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you have a problem, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will try to resolve it with you within 30 days.

Any dispute that we cannot resolve together may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your home country, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws there. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring a claim in your local courts.

18. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Game. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we have waived it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business, for example if Catcopter is sold, and we will announce it if we do. You may not transfer yours. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, employment or agency relationship between you and us. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Sections 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 17 continue to apply after you stop playing or we end your licence.
